Depending on product thickness, proper care and cleaning, your Duradek deck could last up to 15-20 years. We do have Duradek in Manitoba that has been down for over 20 years and still going!!

There are a number of different thickness’, patterns and textures to chose from, the are also perimeter edge factors that could effect the price. You will have to contact us for a estimate over the phone or we can meet you on site for accurate quote.

Can I install Duradek on my own?

No. Duradek is installed by a network of fully trained applicators. They are trained in waterproofing techniques and building codes to ensure you are getting the best quality installation available. For this reason we are able to offer the industries best warranty.

How do you clean Duradek?

It is best to clean your Duradek surface at least 4 times a year to maintain it’s appearance. You can use hot water with a mild soap and scrub it with a soft bristle brush. For more difficult stains you can dilute some household cleaner. Be sure not to let any chemicals sit on the vinyl surface and to rinse well with fresh water.

Can I put a deicer on Duradek in the winter?

Yes. Rock Salt, Kitty Litter and various other snow-melting chemicals can be used on your Duradek surface. We do caution, however, that you clean the surface thoroughly with soap and water and flushed clear prior to letting the heat of the spring sun ‘bake’ any chemical into the surface.

Can I install the S.T.A.R. Aluminum Railing on my own?

Yes, the S.T.A.R. system is one of the easiest aluminum railings to install. The sleeves are pre-welded for convenience, the pickets and punch-outs on the rail components are manufactured to be exact. We provided you with all necessary stainless steel fasteners (and caps) so your installation can go smoothly. If the railing is being installed into Duradek we will provide you with a tube of NP-1 a one-part urethane caulking for the fasteners (yes, it’s compatible with Duradek).
