Curving Deck Boards
Although it comes with additional costs, one of the most appealing features of a PVC or composite deck is the ability to create curved PVC deck boards. How do we do it? First, we develop the design. Once this is approved, framing begins. After the framing is completed, cardboard templates are made and brought into our shop for the custom radius and finishing.
Curved Glass Railings
To complement the new curved PVC deck boards, we decided to curve the glass in the railing system to match the deck design. When you curve glass, this is not an “off-the-shelf” product. It must be carefully measured and sent to a supplier who has the capabilities of curving the tempered glass. The glass must be heated to a point where it becomes malleable and then rapidly cooled to hold the shape once cooled. This process comes with risks and sometimes broken pieces. But when done successfully, you are left with a masterpiece.
